The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time

The most important thing to me is my ability to be present. Think about it! If the whole world was blind how many people would you impress? I constantly consider this upon any and every interaction. Of course,  I'm not perfect. I have my days, but in the long run I do try my hardest to be the best version of myself that I can be. With that in mind, I was adamant about making senior year the best that it could possibly be. This year, it was a goal of mine to make my time left in this chapter of my life the best that it could be. It was bittersweet noticing all the lasts of the year and of my high school career. The last football game... getting ready with all of my friends at one of our houses, decking ourselves out in accordance with the theme of the night, then rushing to the game to make it there at an hour and a half early to tailgate, then assemble ourselves at the front of the student section. We would cheer so loud and so long so that our voices were gone the next morning. ...

The Diary of all the Diaries

Part 1 Upon first glance at Walt Whitman's journal I personally thought that it looked very tedious and in much thorough detail. Throughout the journal things are crossed out but not erased, which sort of gave me a seizure to continuously look at. Like ever heard of white out at least? There were many names and addresses of people in scribble-cursive that I thought may be possibly friends, colleagues, acquaintances. I also noticed that there was a theme among the notebook of respect and adore for Abraham Lincoln. He creates a make-believe conversation between him and Lincoln discussing their commonalities. He begins by talking about his first experience with Abraham Lincoln and leads that to the revolution of the union. Whitman raves about Abraham Lincoln and his groundbreaking work and revolutionary movements he made.
